I have to say that I highly recommend an in home session for your engagement. It really brings an intimate vibe to the session that you just don't get when you’re out in a “strange” place. There is a sense of comfortability with the couple that only being in their own space can give them… As is the case here with Fran and AJ’s engagement session.
I met these two at their home in Airdrie. When I arrived I was greeted at the door by their 3 dogs; be still my dog loving heart; I already knew this session was going to be amazing! haha. Fran and AJ were immediately at ease. In their home surrounded by their “life”. AJ even started a fire for some super steamy shots in front of the fireplace. It was just perfect!
This couple is without a doubt gorgeous but what made their photos so great was their connection. It was like there was no one else in the room at times. I love when couples can just be who they are while I’m around. And believe me, I know how hard that is when someone has a camera right in your face. But when couples just let go of that and focus on each other and their love; it can be beautiful… just like this!
Now let me just say that it doesn’t hurt that their dogs were there! I think having animals around makes everyone more comfortable. So if you’re planning your engagement session, just keep in mind that it doesn’t always have to be out in the picturesque mountains. Sometimes, just being in your element can create the best images. And having your furry friends with you, never hurt anyone! ;)
Thank you Fran and AJ for inviting me into your home to capture these intimate moments for you. I cannot wait for your wedding this summer; it’s going to be wonderful!!!
